People
I am Bernie Hoeneisen, Senior Technical Consultant and Owner of Ucom Standards Track Solutions GmbH.
As a customer you can benefit from my ten years of experience with Internet Standardization, mainly IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force), ranging from various aspects of TCP/IP to designing and developing real-time communications systems.
You’ll get an expert in SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) with all its surrounding aspects including emergency call routing, ENUM (E.164 Number Mapping) and E2MD (E.164 to MetaData). Other areas of expertise include DNSsec (DNS Security), IPv6 and EPP (Extensible Provisioning Protocol).
My prior responsibilities have led to expertise that addresses your core needs. These responsibilities include 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) and IETF SIP Standardization at Nokia, leading the national level trial of ENUM in Switzerland at SWITCH, as well as Innovation Management in product development at Swisscom.
Networking is essential to your success. As chair of the IETF’s ENUM Working Group I was responsible for the development of protocols for using DNS (Domain Name System) to map telephone numbers to URIs, i.e. addresses used on the Internet. Currently, I officiate as Designated Expert of the IESG (Internet Engineering Steering Group) to support the IESG in technical questions around ENUM.
My education provides the basis for our successful collaboration. I hold a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (dipl. El.-Ing. ETH) as well as a CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certificate in Routing and Switching.
